An Introduction

Ms. Kristine Gage received her BA in Music from Saint Louis University as well as her BME in Choral Music Education from Webster University. While studying at SLU, she sang with and directed the all-female a cappella group Beyond All Reason in addition to the co-ed a cappella group Decadence, which she co-founded. She is the recipient of the 2012 Saint Louis University Arion Award in Music. At Webster, she sang and toured with the Chamber Singers, a group featured at state and national conferences and in an instructional DVD produced by GIA Publications. Ms. Gage spent a year singing with the all-female, semi-professional a cappella quintet Jaded and now focuses her energy on directing GCAA’s two new a cappella ensembles, The Tonightengales (all-female) and Not Your Forte (co-ed). In her spare time, you may find her representing the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America (CASA) as the ambassador to all high school, collegiate, and post-collegiate a cappella groups in the state of Missouri, teaching camps at COCA, and serving as a certified adjudicator at quarter and semifinal rounds of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA-the competition made famous by Pitch Perfect!) throughout the Midwest region. A self-confessed animal lover, she resides in Kirkwood with her dog and hedgehog.
